Bali – Nusa Penida Sea Transport

Both Bali and Nusa Penida have many sea ports for both medium passenger’s boat (ferry), cargo boats (roro), and passenger’s fast boats.

Port of Departure from Bali to Nusa Penida:

Padangbai port in kabupaten (like canton) of Klungkung serves various middle size ferries, and fast passenger’s boats. The port serves big passenger’s boat (ships) between islands of east Indonesia. To Nusa Penida serves with ferry and roro takes around 1 hour to reach the port of Sampalan Nusa Penida far slower then fast boat. Roro has their own port of Nusa Jaya Abadi also at the area of Padangbai with destination also Sampalan port Nusa Penida

Kusamba port in kabupten Klungkung, a traditional port serves smaller passenger’s boat, and new port called Tribuana port and Banjar Bias port for departures of passenger’s fast boat which takes only 25 minutes to reach the port of Sampalan in Nusa Penida.

Matahari Terbit port, Sanur, Denpasar city is specially prepared for leisure travelers with fast boats to the port of Banjar Nyuh Nusa Penida. Government of Denpasar listed the names of fast boat operated from this port are : Maruti Fast boat, Sugriwa Express, Angel Billabong Fast Cruise, Starfish Fast boat, Semabu Hill Fast boat, Semaya One Fast boat, Axe Stone Fast Cruise, Arjuna Fast Boat, Axe Stone Fast Cruise, Bali Paradiso, Dcamel Fast Ferry, Einsteins Fast Boat, and El Rey Fast Cruise

Serangan port, Denpasar city serves fast boat, smaller cruises between Bali – Lombok and also Penida island. Serangan port is more well known as traditional fishermen port until the rise of tourism the port also serves passengers with fast boat.

Benoa port, Denpasar city the biggest port in Bali and able to serve big ships of cargo such as 20 feet containers and large international cruise ships. Many local leisure cruises such as Bali Hai, Island Explorer, Bounty, and Quick Silver in the past serves transfer to Nusa Penida with one of their leisure packages
