LEMBONGAN

Lembongan island is smaller then Penida island with size only 8 sq km, approximately land 4,6 x 1,5 sq. km. Total number of population as of the record in 2022 was 5.000 persons, living around Jungut Batu village and Lembongan main village. Their daily life before becoming touris destination was seaweed grower and fishermen. They transported their product especially fish until today to Bali as the demand in Bali is growing continously. The people living on the island is estimated the same as those living on Penida island that was during the reign of Bali famous king named Waturenggong around 1550 AD proved by the existence of a temple with the name "Dalem" the name of king dynasty. The interesting places on this island beside the beach is old age mangrove forest along he mars south-east if the island, a house carved under land surface. The people speak the same language as Balinese, also they have the same tradition and belief.
