PENIDA

The island of Penida is located 45,2 kms south of Bali, a small island of 209,41 sq km size with the highest peak measuring 524 m asl. Reacable within 35 mintes by fast boat from 3 ports of Bali such as Sanur Matahari Terbit, Serangan, and Kusamba. According to the record in 2022 the number of population is 59.000 persons. While Penida is one of the 3 island group that located close each other namely Lembongan and Ceningan. Lembongan and Ceningan is connected with bridge known well as yellow bridge while Penida is quiet far from both islands separated by deeper sea.

Penida island offers natural beauties of beaches, cliffs, and clear sea water especially on west beach beside seaweed farming that might interesting also. Since the beaches facing directly open Indian ocean the current around the island is strong and is dangerous for untrained person to take any activity on the sea.

One can organize one day trip to the island which takes time from 06.00 to 16.00. First take the boat from Matahari Terbit to Toya Pakeh port on Penida island where the driver waiting and start the sightseeing visiting west beach first at what is called Broken bay a damage beach by strong thrust of waves thousand of years, Angle Bilabong, Kelingking beach and Cristal beach. All these beaches show the natural and glass clean waters. Depending on the weather one can swim at Bilabong, but must obey the adivise of local bywatch. Lunch normally provided before the last visit at local restaurant of west Penida. After visiting the last place driver will drop back at the port for boat to Bali which will arrive at Matahari Terbit port around 16.00
